Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain casino facilities, restrooms, and public areas. You will sweep, clean windows, stock supplies, and assist guests with basic inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum 21 years of age; basic reading, math, and communication skills required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and qualify for West Virginia Racing Commission licensing is essential.

Qualifications

• Read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities in words and numbers.
• Print and speak simple sentences.
• Add/subtract two-digit numbers; work with money and measurements.
• Follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.

Responsibilities

• Maintain offices, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and other work areas.
• Sweep floors and walkways; wash windows and sills; empty wastebaskets and ashtrays.
• Replenish bathroom supplies; keep storage rooms clean and organized.
• Deliver cleaning supplies and paper products; answer guests' questions about the facility.

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
