The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation have a rich history as a community of people who farmed, hunted, and fished to survive. Today, the Sycuan Tribe governs its Reservation, owns and operates a Casino and Golf Resort, and manages various business ventures in the San Diego Region. Despite changes over time, Sycuan remains committed to community and shared goals, whether working in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or within our Tribal Government division, all staff are part of the Sycuan family.

Job Purpose:

Develops and grows casino revenue and profit from premium slot and table game players from Asian market segments, specifically Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean markets. Actively prospecting for new business opportunities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)

• Retain casino clients by engaging frequently with high-value slot and table game players to build loyalty and ensure an excellent guest experience. Utilize property amenities and programs to target players, analyzing player tracking data to assess value, and respond to guest needs, including arranging accommodations, amenities, shows, dining, transportation, and offsite events.
• Maintain a visible floor presence—greet players on the casino floor, during special events and promotions, and identify potential high-value players on table games or slots.
• Conduct telemarketing to promote casino events and promotions through outbound calls. Identify inactive and high-value guests to drive additional visits.

Provide support to the Player Development Team by handling calls, assisting VIPs at the VIP desk, responding to player requests, issuing complimentary items based on player value, promoting promotions to new and existing players, and resolving issues or complaints promptly, notifying management as needed.

• Participate in community development by attending targeted events, representing Sycuan in person or electronically, hosting on- and off-property events, and acting as a liaison between VIP guests and the Player Development team.

Job Specifications:

Education and Experience:

• Excellent verbal communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Korean.
• Ability to read and write in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Korean.
• Minimum of 2 years guest service experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Maintain high standards of professionalism and discretion in all customer communications, including handling arrangements and finances.
• Maintain confidentiality of all player accounts.
• Interact effectively with team members and guests.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently.

• Work weekends, all casino shifts (Day, Swing, Graveyard), and holidays.
