Job summary

Magic City Casino seeks a Gaming Technician I to maintain and test gaming machines and related equipment. The role involves urgent response to service calls, preventive maintenance, and assisting guests with a focus on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, be 21+, and capable of lifting heavy loads while passing a guest-service audition. Florida gaming license or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or in progress within six months.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and 150 lbs with a dolly.
• Must pass a job interview and guest service audition.
• Willingness to work odd or irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Florida Gaming License (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes reports related to game equipment performance.
• Prepares and tests gaming machines.
• Responds urgently to calls for assistance.
• Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance on bingo gaming devices.
• Moves and installs machines as needed.
• Diagnoses game equipment malfunctions and troubleshoots.
• Reads meters and performs regular maintenance.
• Communicates information to fellow technicians and management.
• Assists guests and co-workers and offers help when needed.
• Works with Vendor Technicians and maintains inventory of parts.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes reports related to game equipment performance
• Prepares and tests gaming machines
• Maintains a sense of urgency in responding to calls for assistance or when dispatched
• Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned electronic bingo gaming devices
• Moves and installs machines as needed
• Researches and diagnoses game equipment malfunctions
• Troubleshoots, reads meters and performs regular maintenance
• Communicates all information to fellow Technicians and Game Management
• Takes initiative to ask for and offer help to guests, co‑associates and management
• Works closely with Vendor Technicians
• Adheres to Company and Departmental Expectations
• Helps maintain a working inventory of parts and supplies
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be twenty‑one (21) years of age or older
• One (1) year experience in a casino Gaming or casino IT department (Class II or Class III)– preferred
  • OR two (2) years’ experience working with computers or electronics– preferred
• Must be able to lift and maneuver at least 50 lbs
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 150 pounds using a dolly
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Florida Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
