Job summary

Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking friendly, professional servers to greet guests, take food and beverage orders, deliver dishes, refill drinks, and ensure a welcoming, efficient dining experience in our restaurant and banquet areas.

The role requires 18+ years old, ability to carry trays, strong English communication, and availability nights, weekends and holidays. Employment is contingent on a background check and drug screening; this is a safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• Able to carry and balance service tray.
• Basic knowledge of menu prices and composition of food and beverage menu items, daily specials and proper placing procedures.
• Team player.
• Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
• Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at assigned tables and ensure each guest's needs are met.
• Return to each assigned table periodically to ascertain whether additional items are desired.
• As guests have completed each course, clear empty plates.
• Serve food and beverages to guests where appropriate.
• Ushers guests to their tables.
• Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
• Refill, water, coffee, and other drinks upon request of guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Attend all necessary training meetings.
• Assist in other projects, as directed.
