Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Cashier (Support) for multiple openings in Atlanta. The role handles cash receipts, deposits, refunds, and basic accounting duties in a fast-paced environment. Regular full-time position in the university setting with emphasis on accuracy and customer service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, possible SERVSafe certification, and 3+ years relevant experience. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to support students and staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma required.
• SERVSafe certification preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience is a plus.
• Ability to work fast and under pressure; lift 50 lbs; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Process and record cash receipts accurately; manage deposits.
• Understand billing policies and FERPA confidentiality.
• Prepare daily deposits and balance receipts; close credit card/Buzz card machines.
• Provide front-line assistance on business office policies and procedures; hours and policy queries.
• Post revenue to the financial system and process various employee transactions.
• Reconcile funds daily and post transactions.
• Maintain accurate payment and deposit records and daily activity logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
