Job Responsibilities

1. Provide courteous and efficient service to customers, including managing check-out procedures and ensuring register sign-off protocols are followed.
2. Scan and ring customer orders accurately, credit items to the correct department, and remove all items from carts.
3. Handle and be accountable for all transaction funds.
4. Assist with bagging groceries and light stocking duties.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work station and surrounding area.
6. Follow all relevant laws and company policies regarding alcohol sales, WIC handling, coupon processing, and transaction procedures.
7. Properly use assigned tills and handle change appropriately.
8. Take weekly produce tests and ensure all non-file items are recorded daily.
9. Operate intercom properly and avoid conversations while checking out customers.
10. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
11. Keep bathrooms clean and replace misplaced items.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
