Job summary

GPM Investments, Village Pantry store in Peru, IN is hiring a part-time Cashier/Sales Associate (Store 5642). You will greet customers, handle the register, and maintain a clean, safe store including restrooms and pumps. Opportunities to learn other departments with a friendly team and flexible scheduling.

Positions include 2nd shift (1pm–10pm) and 3rd shift (9pm–7am). Pay ranges from USD 11.00 to USD 13.00 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits depending on hours worked.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Be prepared to work hard and stay on your feet.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer and operate the register accurately and quickly.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales with age verification compliance.
• Upsell customers to increase sales when possible.
• Keep store clean and safe inside and outside, including restrooms and pump area.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays; maintain a neat, organized store.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Be a team player and help where needed.
