Overview

Cashiers are to greet and thank every customer who enters and leaves the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all paperwork associated with each cashiering entry. Cashiers are also responsible for keeping the store neat and clean, answering the phone professionally and enthusiastically, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and basic housekeeping.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and drive our Mission, Vision, and Values
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Be knowledgeable about CBC policies, procedures, and cashiering transactions including sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges
• Enter all sales and monies correctly at the register
• Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases to customers
• Report to work promptly, dressed appropriately, and well-groomed
• Be security conscious at all times
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store info
• Stay updated on sale promotions and inventory, especially boots
• Follow company policies on sales and validate all sales tickets
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and support company goals

Qualifications And Requirements
