Overview:

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks such as stocking, visual displays, and handling special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values.
2. Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
4. Be knowledgeable about CBC policies and cashiering transactions, including cash sales, check sales, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
5. Record all sales and cash accurately at the time of transaction.
6. Assist with stocking merchandise and store organization.
7. Recommend add-on purchases and promote store specials.
8. Arrive promptly, dressed appropriately, and groomed.
9. Remain security conscious at all times.
10. Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, and store information.
11. Stay updated on current promotions and inventory.
12. Practice inventory control, especially for boots.
13. Follow company policies on all sales, including validating sale tickets.
14. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
15. Collaborate with supervisors to understand actions needed to meet company goals.
