Overview

Cashiers greet and thank every customer entering and leaving the store. They must be proficient in all aspects of the Cavender's Boot City cashiering system and knowledgeable of all related paperwork. Responsibilities include maintaining store cleanliness, answering phones professionally, and supporting management with tasks like stocking, visual displays, and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the "Cavender's Culture" and promote our Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Perform cashiering tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Be knowledgeable about CBC policies, procedures, and cashiering transactions, including sales, check transactions, non-taxable sales, credit cards, voids, and exchanges.
• Record all sales and cash in the register at the time of sale.
• Assist with stocking and store organization.
• Promote add-on purchases and store specials.
• Arrive promptly, groomed appropriately, and dressed suitably.
• Stay security-conscious at all times.
• Respond knowledgeably to phone inquiries about sales, promotions, store location, pricing, and inventory.
• Stay updated on current sales and promotions.
• Practice inventory control, especially for boots, and check for mismates.
• Follow company policies on commission sales and validate all sales tickets.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned and collaborate with supervisors to meet company goals.
