Job summary

Cashier

Customer Service Clerk working on the Frontend and responsible for registering customer purchases at the checkstand. This role requires a thorough knowledge of check-out policies and procedures, including greeting customers, operating electronic registers, scanning or hand ringing purchases, tendering cash and non-cash transactions, proofing checks, handling coupons, food stamps, and vouchers, making change, maintaining a balanced drawer, ensuring proper bagging of purchases, working the FastLanes, and interacting with customers to make the checkout process pleasant and efficient. Secondary duties include related activities as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Availability: Must be available to work at least 10 hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Previous Work Experience: Outstanding customer service skills. Cashiering experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Physical Demands: Walking, bending, stooping, carrying, loading, etc.; repetitive lifting to 50 lbs; occasional lifting to 80 lbs.
