Cashier/Sales Associate - Midday/2nd Shift

Overview

Our second-shift Sales Associates (typically between 2 PM and Midnight) are essential in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient store environment. We seek dependable, hardworking team members available during these hours who take pride in essential tasks such as cleaning, restocking, and ensuring safety and cleanliness throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register efficiently
• Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales ensuring compliance with legal requirements
• Provide friendly service and upsell to increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, trash removal, and outdoor litter pickup
• Stock shelves and displays to ensure merchandise is appealing and available
• Keep the store organized and clean by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows and entryways
• Cross-train in other departments such as the deli as needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Support team efforts and assist in various tasks as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18+ or 21+ depending on state
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, primarily afternoons to evenings
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Effective communication skills in English
• Basic math skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Pass pre-employment drug and background checks
• Reliable, responsible, personable, and detail-oriented
