Cashier/Sales Associate - Midday/2nd Shift

Overview

Our second-shift Sales Associates (typically between 2 PM and Midnight) are essential in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient store environment for customers. We seek dependable, hardworking team members who are available during these hours and take pride in essential tasks such as cleaning, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register efficiently
• Ensure compliance with age verification laws for lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales
• Provide friendly service and upsell to increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and safety inside and outside the store, including restroom sanitation, gas pump sanitization, litter pickup, and trash disposal
• Stock shelves and displays, and keep the store organized
• Assist in other departments as needed, including deli
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Support team efforts and step in where needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ in certain states, 21+ in others
• Availability for weekends and holidays, and ability to work afternoons/evenings (2 PM - Midnight)
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Effective communication skills in English
• Basic math skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Pass pre-employment drug and background checks
• Friendly, reliable, detail-oriented, and adaptable
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required
