Cashier/Sales Associate - Midday/2nd Shift

Are you ready to make an impact in the afternoons and evenings? Our second-shift Sales Associates (typically between 2 PM and Midnight) are vital in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and efficient store environment for every customer.

We seek dependable, hardworking team members available during these hours who take pride in essential tasks like cleaning restrooms, picking up outside trash, and ensuring store safety and cleanliness. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and enjoy helping others, this role might be perfect for you.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and operate the register accurately and efficiently
• Become proficient in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales, ensuring compliance with legal age verification
• Provide friendly service and upsell to increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including deep cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, trash pickup, and taking out the trash in all weather conditions
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise appealing
• Keep the store organized, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows and entryways
• Cross-train in other departments such as deli as needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies
• Assist team members and step into various roles as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18+ in AR, CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, CO; 21+ in other states
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, primarily afternoons to evenings
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Effective communication skills in English
• Basic math skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Friendly, detail-oriented, reliable, adaptable, and positive attitude
• Experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not required
