Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a per diem Cashier-Retail position at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. Day shift options and weekend/holiday rotations provide flexible coverage across multiple morning to afternoon hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Experience with proper food safety/sanitary procedures are preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from vaccination after hire via signed exemption statement.

Responsibilities

• Support Retail areas of the Food & Nutrition Department including cashier duties.
• Set up and break down stations; ensure items are dated, labeled and rotated.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and food surfaces per procedures.
• Ensure accurate portions with proper utensils; perform other duties as assigned.

Hours: Per Diem

Shift: Day shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 6:00am - 2:30pm, 9:00am - 5:30pm, 5:30am - 2:00pm and 7:00am - 3:30pm

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager, Food & Nutrition Services or designee. Provide support for the Retail areas of the Food & Nutrition Department including Cashier Duties set up all stations and perform positions, break down stations completely ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized. Clean and sanitize equipment, and food surfaces according to procedures. Assure that all food items are accurately dated, labeled, and rotated prior to storage and or placed for sale. Use proper utensils to ensure accurate portions. Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Experience with proper food safety/sanitary procedures are preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $16.47 - USD $23.41 /Hr.
