Job summary

Fields Auto Group, based in Glenview, IL, seeks a friendly Cashier/Receptionist to support dealership operations with strong customer service skills. On-the-job training is provided to help you learn our processes and systems.

You will handle billing, payments, phone inquiries, and basic clerical tasks while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and staff.

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00 pm-8:00 pm, and Saturday 10:00 am-6:00 pm. Pay: $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Professional personal appearance.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system
• Receive payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers
• Answer phones and direct customers to the proper department and follow up promptly
• Handle any customer complaints diplomatically and refer complaining customers to the appropriate individual for resolution
• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
• Assist the managers with various clerical duties as needed
• Be friendly, professional, courteous, and efficient when working with all customers and employees
• Familiarize yourself with department structures & internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently
