Responsible for accuracy in all cash handling and pricing procedures, including use of cash register, counting money, documentation, proper pricing according to portion and departmental standards, and training others on use of cash register.
Maintains proper public relations by assisting all patrons as needed, maintaining proper appearance, answering food related questions, and acting as a host(ess) assuring that the P.D.R. is clean, comfortable and appropriately stocked.
Responsible for security in handling money, including using proper cash handling policies and procedures, and safeguards money by not leaving work station unattended.
Maintains effective communication skills by taking direction from supervisor, relaying communication when indicated to customers and within the department to ensure proper and timely job completion.
Performs job correctly and safely and observes rules of conduct.
Actively practices principles learned, including, but not limited to, the following topics: Universal precautions, fire and disaster, safety, MSDS, CQI, etc.
Participates in CQI program by submitting two suggestions per year for improvement of departmental services. Performs CQI monitoring as assigned.
Consistently uses proper safety equipment and follows rules of conduct safety. Knows where MSDS information is located.
Demonstrates high standards of personal hygiene according to departmental policy, including but not limited to using proper hand washing technique, observing hospital "no smoking" policy, wearing hairnet or hat in food production area, and maintaining neat appearance.
