Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a part-time Cashier in Arcadia, FL. You will greet customers, operate the POS, and help with rounding up purchases to support our missions. The role includes handling calls and training new cashiers, while maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), retail experience (preferred), and full availability for days, evenings, and weekends. Excellent customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm.
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise.
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to support our missions.
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service.
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor.
