Job summary

Goodwill Manasota in Bradenton, FL is seeking a friendly full-time Cashier to engage customers, operate the register, and help keep the sales floor welcoming and organized.

You will greet customers, process transactions, and assist in training new cashiers while contributing to a 40-hour work week and a strong nonprofit mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Able to perform essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm.
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise.
• Encourage customers to participate in Change Round Up to support our missions.
• Respond to phone calls while delivering good customer service.
• Assist in training of new team members and cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return unsold merchandise to the floor.

THE POSITION:

As a Cashier, you will:

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
