Job summary

Goodwill Manasota is seeking a dedicated Cashier to greet customers, operate the POS system accurately, and assist in training new team members. This full-time role emphasizes multitasking and delivering world-class service while supporting the organization’s mission with Round Up programs and a clean, welcoming sales floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred.
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor
