C-A-L Ranch Stores was founded in 1959 in Idaho Falls, ID, by Clinton, Allen, and L. Wayne Murphy. The family used their initials “C-A-L” to create their brand. Our first store, located in Idaho Falls, ID, was called C-A-L Ranch & Farm Supply. The store had less than 3,000 square feet and primarily sold tillage tools and hardware. Over 60+ years, C-A-L Ranch Stores has grown from a single store to a regional retailer with multiple locations in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. What You’ll Do

A cashier’s role is vital as the face of our company. You will provide legendary customer service, representing C-A-L Ranch Stores with professionalism and courtesy. A friendly, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining high standards, and demonstrating product knowledge.
• Stay informed about products, promotions, and advertisements.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store cleanliness.
• Process and replenish merchandise, assist with receiving and monitoring stock.
• Follow all company policies, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention.
• Complete sales transactions accurately at POS registers and manage cash/media responsibly.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and operate the inventory system for price checks and look-ups.
• Handle cash, checks, credit/debit card transactions, and receipts.
• Record totals, give refunds or issue credit memos per refund policies.
• Operate cash register, scan items, and display purchase details.
• Complete safety training by watching company safety videos and performing duties accordingly.
• Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
• Assist in training new employees and other team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, and over 25 pounds with assistance.
• Must be physically present at the store; regular attendance required.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Capability to push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
