Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Tyler, Texas, seeks a Store Office Associate to coordinate money flow, process customer transactions, and assist customers with locating products and price verifications.

You will handle cash/deposits, balance drawers, maintain accurate records, and follow laws for alcohol, tobacco, and restricted items. On-site role with flexible hours, emphasis on accuracy and service.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and basic math required.
• Knowledge of tender policies and regulated sales.
• Ability to follow AML and other monetary transaction regulations.

Responsibilities

• Processes requests for Western Union, money orders, lottery tickets, coin redemptions, refunds, equipment rental, etc.
• Prepares cash/check deposits and maintains accurate store financial records and bank deposit logs.
• Checks cash register drawers for overages and shortages and reports discrepancies to management.
• Performs various store office activities such as ordering office supplies, assisting cashiers, and answering calls.
• Remains current on tender policies and procedures related to checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.
• Accesses or memorizes product codes and remains familiar with ad and special items.
• Balances cash drawer and safe funds and ensures accuracy.
• Adheres to laws regarding sales of restricted items such as tobacco, alcohol, cannabis-based and pharmaceutical products.
• Provides friendly customer service and responds to questions and complaints.
