Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Mansfield, LA seeks a frontline store office associate to handle cash transactions and assist customers with locating products. You’ll manage deposits, balance cash drawers, and ensure compliance with tender policies and laws.

Responsibilities include processing money orders and refunds, answering calls, maintaining records, and upholding a clean, safe environment. This role requires AML/AML-related certifications where applicable and offers opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Minimum of 16 years of age.
• AML certification required.
• TABC/LACT/AATC certification required where applicable.
• HIPAA certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Process requests for Western Union, money orders, lottery tickets, coin redemptions, refunds, equipment rental, etc.
• Prepare cash/check deposits and maintain accurate store financial records and bank deposit logs.
• Check cash register drawers for overages and shortages. Report discrepancies to management.
• Perform various store office activities such as ordering office supplies, assisting cashiers, and answering calls.
• Remain current on tender policies and procedures related to checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, AML, etc.
• Access or memorize product codes and stay familiar with ad and special items.
• Maintain accurate money count in drawer and balance cash register drawers.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding sales of restricted items.
• Provide friendly customer service and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work environment.
