Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a Retail Associate to join our Lafayette, LA team. You will handle checkout transactions, assist customers, bag groceries, and maintain accurate tender and pricing information in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires basic cash handling, good math skills, and the ability to learn store technology. You will work with a friendly team and adhere to all safety and legal requirements, including tobacco/alcohol restrictions where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, scanning items and maintaining accurate cash in register.
• Memorize product codes and remain familiar with ad items.
• Promote enrollment in loyalty programs and assist sign-up where applicable.
• Bag groceries properly and ensure receipt of all purchased items.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary working environment per company policies.
