Job summary

Slice House Walnut Creek is seeking a cashier to take and relay orders to the kitchen, ensuring guests receive their meals promptly. You will balance drawers, handle cash and cards, verify ages for alcohol, and upsell where appropriate.

Ideal candidates are quick, polite, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a clean Front of House. Food handler certification is required and prior restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Food handler certification is required.
• Cashier/restaurant experience is a plus.
• Proficient with POS and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the restaurant and taking orders.
• Place orders in-person and over the phone; upsell and know menu items.
• Process cash, credit card and gift card transactions; verify age for alcohol.
• Answer questions and make menu recommendations.
• Balance the register at the end of the shift and hand off to the next cashier.
• Maintain a clean Front of House and follow safety guidelines.
