Job summary

Goodwill Industries is seeking a friendly Cashier to greet customers, operate the POS, and help keep the sales floor organized. You will participate in a round-up program and deliver high-quality customer service.

The role requires willingness to work days, evenings, and weekends, with training and growth opportunities and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm.
• Operate the POS to process sales and pricing codes.
• Encourage customer participation in Change Round Up to support the mission.
• Respond to phone calls with excellent customer service.
• Assist in training new team members and cashiers.
• Maintain a clean, safe sales floor and restock as needed.

POSITION OUTLINE:

Do you enjoy interacting with customers? Are you a positive individual who succeeds in multitasking?

As a Cashier, you will:

• Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise
• Welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions
• Respond to phone calls while offering world-class customer service
• Assist in the training of new team members and cashiers
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred
• Six months of cash handling experience preferred
• Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
