Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking a friendly, energetic team member to provide checkout service, assist customers, and keep the store neat and welcoming. You will ring sales, handle payments, bag items, and thank customers, while helping maintain organized merchandise and a clean environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required; willingness to learn
• Cash handling experience is a plus
• Able to follow instructions in a fast-paced retail setting
• Honest, respectful, and aligned with Goodwill’s mission and values
• Open to training and personal development opportunities
• Regularly lifting up to 10 pounds and staying active throughout shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service at the register—ring sales, handle payments, bag merchandise.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and organized; move clothing from backroom and rotate racks.
• Maintain a clean, safe shopping environment including dressing rooms and work areas.
• Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
• Support donation door operations and sorting/hanger tasks as needed.
• Report safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
• Help with other duties as assigned to support a strong team environment.
