Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking a part-time Retail Associate to deliver friendly customer service at the register, process sales, and assist with donations. You will help keep the floor organized, stock clothing by type and color, and ensure racks are tidy and rotated throughout the shift.

The role emphasizes a fast-paced retail setting, standing and moving most of the time, with strong attention to safety and customer experience.

Qualifications

• No experience required; willingness to learn and grow.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.
• Able to stand, move, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service at the register—ring sales, handle payments, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and organized: move clothing from the backroom, merchandise clothing by type/color, and ensure racks are tidy and rotated.
• Maintain a clean, safe shopping environment including dressing rooms and work areas.
• Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
• Support donation door operations and perform sorting/hanger tasks as needed.
• Report any safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
• Help with other duties as assigned to support a strong team environment.
