Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Front End Cashier to efficiently process customer sales at the front registers. You will handle payments, issue receipts, assist customers, and maintain a clean checkout area with a friendly demeanor.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1–2 years grocery retail experience; knowledge of POS systems and MS Office is a plus. The role offers weekly pay, scheduling flexibility, and paid parental leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• Preferred 1 -2 years grocery retail experience in Front End department processes and procedures.
• Previous experience in a natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Walks the store prior to each shift to ensure awareness of promotional items and stock.
• Receives payment by cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or automatic debits.
• Issues receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks or change due to customers.
• Operates cash register and scans items, records price, and prints receipts.
• Greets customers and maintains a clean, organized checkout area.
