Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a friendly Cashier to efficiently process customer sales at front registers. You will handle payments, issue receipts, and maintain an inviting checkout area while delivering attentive service.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, supporting promotions, and ensuring accuracy in transactions. Prior experience in grocery retail is a plus; flexibility in hours is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• One to two years grocery retail experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Walks the store prior to shift to note promotions and sale items.
• Greet customers entering the store and assist as needed.
• Compute bill, itemized lists, and tickets; process payments (cash, card, etc.).
• Operate cash register and record prices, taxes, and rebates.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, rain checks, or change.
• Maintain clean checkout areas and curb distractions.
• Provide coupons and rain checks as applicable.
