We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.

Location: Ballad Health Johnson City Medical Center - 400 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary. Rotating weekends and holidays. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior food service and cashier experience required.

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates Point of Sale system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Helps prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; assists with catering orders.
• Performs cashier duties using the POS system.
• Performs general cleaning duties; removes trash and garbage.
• Provides service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Maintains cash accuracy and makes deposits at the end of shifts.
• Inventories and restocks supplies and food products.
• Sets up serving line, monitors food temperatures, and notifies cooks if necessary.
• Serves hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepares items for purchase daily.
• Ensures refrigerator stock is rotated and within temperature standards.
• Maintains proper stock levels and records replenishments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
