• We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: Ballad Health Johnson City Medical Center - 400 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary. Rotating weekends and holidays. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior food service and cashier experience required.
• Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Operates POS system, assists the Chef, prepares coffee, and maintains cleanliness of coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts; support catering orders.
• Perform cashier duties using the POS system accurately.
• Conduct general cleaning; manage trash disposal.
• Provide service in retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Handle cash transactions, maintain accuracy, and make deposits at shift end.
• Inventory and restock supplies and food items.
• Set up serving lines, ensure food temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks of issues.
• Serve hot and cold items to customers.
• Prepare items for purchase daily and rotate stock properly.
• Record refrigerator temperatures and replenish stock as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
