Position Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full-time CASHIER/FOOD SERVICE WORKER position located at 421 North Woodland Boulevard, DeLand, FL 32723 (Stetson University). The role involves operating a point of sale system, assisting the chef, preparing coffee, and maintaining clean cashier and coffee stations.

Responsibilities

• Helps prepare foods such as meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts and prepares catering orders.
• Performs cashier duties using the POS system, maintains cash accuracy and makes deposits at shift end.
• Performs general cleaning duties; removes trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Provides service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.
• Inventory and restocks supplies and food products.
• Sets up serving line, ensuring temperatures are taken and recorded and within acceptable ranges.
• Serves hot and cold items to customers.
• Sets up items for purchase daily.
• Keeps refrigerator stocked, rotating products using first-in, first-out.
• Stocks pantries with correct par levels daily; records replenished amounts and refrigerator temperatures on floor stock form.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Prior food service experience required.

Compensation

Pay Range: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.
