Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Sarasota, FL is seeking a friendly Cashier to handle all transactions accurately at the front end. You will operate cash registers, process payments, issue receipts, and maintain a clean checkout area while delivering excellent customer service.

Candidates should have prior retail cashier experience, basic PC skills, and a good math ability, with flexibility for evening and weekend shifts. This is a full-time/part-time hourly position with union benefits.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales.
• Basic PC knowledge.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS.
• Good math skills.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing & product is accurate.
• Collect payments whether in cash, check or credit.
• Issue receipts and change as necessary.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
