Job summary

Kroger is seeking a friendly cashier/checker to deliver outstanding customer service at the Lilburn, GA location. You will greet customers, process transactions efficiently, and operate the POS system while handling various tender types and following company policies.

You will also reinforce store safety, assist with questions and stay current with ads and promotions. The role emphasizes accuracy, integrity and a helpful attitude, with opportunities to grow within Kroger’s stores and benefit

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to policy.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Interact with customers to answer questions and assist across departments.
