Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and receipts.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers in the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders including SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Provide friendly, informative service to customers in-store.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in busy, sometimes stressful environment.
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally.
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
