Mount Holyoke College is seeking a part-time Cashier for the Dining Services department. The role focuses on accurate payments via cash, One Cards, and cards, with responsibilities including operating the POS system, monitoring meal plan balances, and maintaining a clean dining environment.

The position requires strong math and cash handling skills, clear English communication, and a positive attitude when interacting with students and the public. Eligibility for flexible shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience and proficiency in math.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, with clear English.
• Should maintain an extraordinarily positive attitude when dealing with students and the public.
• Attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the computerized point of sale system.
• Monitor meal plan transactions to ensure student balances are correct.
• Assist in stocking and cleaning throughout the dining commons.
• Work with others and also independently without supervision.
• Assist in supervision and training of student workers.
• Keep work areas clean, debris-free, and sanitized at all times.
• Provide direction to student staff and maintain professionalism.
• Oversee distribution and return of takeout containers and travel mugs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
