Job summary

Lowe's in New York is seeking a cashier to join our store team and provide a fast, friendly checkout experience. You’ll assist customers at the register and self-checkout, scan and bag items, and process payments accurately to help ensure every shopper leaves satisfied.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic ability
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Experience using a computer for input/output
• Lift 10–15 lbs unassisted or with assistance
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by law

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
• Complete other duties as assigned
