Job summary

Lowe’s cashier position offers a fast-paced, customer-focused role at Lowe’s stores. You’ll deliver a fast, friendly checkout experience, assist customers in the self-checkout area, scan and bag items, and handle payments and exchanges to ensure every customer leaves satisfied.

Most time is at the register, with opportunities to help other departments, stock shelves, and support store operations. No special prior experience required; training is provided and growth paths exist within the team.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Minimally lift 10lbs unassisted or over 15lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fast, friendly, and professional checkout experience
• Proactively assist customers in the self-checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Manage a cash register, payments, and exchanges
• Answer customer questions
• Help maintain a clean, safe workstation
• Complete other duties as assigned
