Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets, engages and assists customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle various tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, coupons.
• Stay current with ads and store promotions; comply with food safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist with equipment maintenance as needed.
• Provide product information and answer customer questions to create an inviting store experience.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively under pressure; resolve issues calmly.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
