Foodland Super Market, Ltd in Hawai‘i seeks a part-time front-end cashier to provide fast, friendly checkout experiences. The role is 24+ hours weekly, on-island only; relocation assistance not provided.

Responsibilities include scanning, bagging, assisting customers, maintenance of checkout areas, and upholding policies. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred; candidates with open availability will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must successfully pass math test.
• Must successfully pass cashier training after hire.
• TB Clearance required.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
• Most duties performed within Front End Department.
• Work includes walking, standing for long periods, repetitive hand and arm movements, moderate to frequent lifting, bending, stretching, continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment.

• Often bag their customers' orders and help shoppers find items in the store.
• Assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas and may take returned products back to proper shelf locations.
• Accuracy and basic math skills are important, as is the ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials.
• Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders.
• Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer.
• General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area.
• Resolving service and product related customer service issues.
• Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code.
• Abiding by all company policies and procedures.
• Performing other duties and assignments as directed.
