Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
2. Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per company policy.
3. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, working honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
8. Comply with all food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
9. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
10. Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions about products and store services.
11. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
12. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
13. Manage conflicts professionally and non-confrontationally.
14. Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
15. Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues effectively.
16. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
17. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
