General Function

As a cashier, you'll be part of a growing, innovative brand that prides itself on providing best-in-class customer service. We are looking for helpful smiles who enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The cashier provides fast and friendly service to customers, assists with questions and requests, operates a cash register, and performs related duties such as packaging products, working with drive-up or carry-out, and replenishing stock.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of GM, Perishables, and Store Operations, Service Managers. No direct reports.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, demonstrating caring, concern, and patience.
• Greet customers with a smile, learn their names, and assist with their shopping needs.
• Operate cash register accurately, process transactions, redeem coupons, and handle cash and credit transactions.
• Assist with stocking, facing, rotating merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Follow policies on sales of tobacco, liquor, and lottery tickets, and comply with food stamp and WIC regulations.
• Ensure store safety and security, communicate clearly, and maintain a clean register area.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist management with store displays and promotions.
• Know product code dates and assist with store operations as needed.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform basic arithmetic.
