Responsibilities

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed. Maintaining knowledge of weekly ad items, guiding customers to product locations, and communicating effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier are essential. Ensuring checkout areas are clean and orderly, and performing any other related duties as assigned, are also part of your role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of cashiering experience.
• Possess an outgoing and friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and excellent customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for up to 50 hours.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency in cash handling, and basic math skills.
