We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to process customer transactions quickly and accurately, creating an outstanding customer experience. The role involves understanding and adhering to company policies regarding cash handling, restricted sale items, and safety regulations. The Cashier will also provide support and assistance to customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults, ensuring they feel welcome and valued.

Responsibilities include:

1. Processing customer transactions through the check lane efficiently and accurately.
2. Understanding and handling various tenders, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, and coupons.
3. Adhering to cash handling policies and loss prevention guidelines.
4. Following guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
5. Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
6. Staying current with store promotions and advertisements.
7. Complying with food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
8. Maintaining equipment and creating a welcoming environment for customers.
9. Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
10. Managing conflict effectively and acting with honesty and integrity.
