Role Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer and balance at the end of each shift.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers promptly and addressing their inquiries.
- Resolve any customer issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Assist customers in locating products and providing recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling policies and procedures.
- Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock availability.
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance overall customer experience.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies in transactions.
- Participate in training and development programs to improve skills.
- Support promotional activities and sales initiatives.
- Prepare daily financial reports for management review.
- Assist in other store operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in retail is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to handle cash and perform transactions accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- High level of professionalism and reliability.
