Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and loyalty offers according to company policies.
  • Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
  • Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or accidents, practicing preventive maintenance.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with questions about products.
  • Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
