Job Responsibilities:
  • Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
  • Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders and offers per company policy.
  • Adhere to company limits on cash shortages/overages and control loss effectively.
  • Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
  • Report pricing discrepancies and adhere to policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
  • Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
  • Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain equipment and report repairs as needed.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions and assisting as needed.
  • Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflict professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
  • Assist and support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
