Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system, handle various tenders, and adhere to company policies on cash shortages and overages.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertising and promotional materials.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and assist with their questions and needs.
• Comply with all applicable laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflict professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
