Job Description: Cashier at Kroger

Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
2. Handle various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
3. Adhere to company limits on cash shortages and overages, work honestly to control loss.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow established policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
8. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures; identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
9. Maintain equipment and report repairs needed.
10. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
11. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
12. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, stressful environment and manage conflicts effectively.
13. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
14. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
15. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
16. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
